Baptised in Grace !

As you immerse me within your grace,

All I see is your face,

As I delve deeper into your reality,

I lose all that was me as in your love I am free,

Letting go I feel the fathers arms embracing me,

And I know I've entered into eternity.

No longer the man I used to be,

I declare with glee,

He drowned beneath the waters deep,

Now my soul be still, as Lord my heart is yours to keep.

Baptised in the truth of your Word,

Not just a distant story I heard,

I feel as free as a bird,

Like the dove I know your peace,

As I feel your ever sweet release,

A comforting peace I know will never cease.

No longer the man I used to be,

I declare with glee,

He drowned beneath the waters deep,

Now my soul be still, as Lord my heart is yours to keep.

My sins died beneath the water,

As a new man I come before your altar,

From now on I shall praise you without falter,

For in you I have found new life and shelter,

My flesh is no more, erased by the great author,

As I have been reborn in the image of my creator.
