Love not hate !

We want to love till we're called to love,

And then we take up our role of hate,

And we're told no longer an eye for an eye,

Or a tooth for a tooth,

Yet if we're blessed by a friend we don't say a word,

And if we're cursed by an enemy we raise the roof,

And I know you were singing amazing grace, then saying poor Stevie has no place,

I know because I heard,

I heard because I was there and didn't say a word,

The tongue can be a dreadful thing,

When it's used in sin then to praise the King,

So be careful what you say just before you pray,

And be careful what poison you spray,

For you never know when it could come back your way,

After all what goes around comes back around,

And that's not a new found proverb,

For as Paul said "what a man sows he reaps",

So be careful of the seed you sow,

For you never know when its harvest could make you bleed,

And wouldn't you rather sow in love than sow in hate,

So change your manner, change your ways, change your path,

Change your mind before it's too late,

Have words of peace to spare,

Then share them with your enemy and not just your mate.
