Pray For a Better Day

I feel like I'm drifting out from shore,

and I always felt so sure,

I was the one with a plan,

The one they said if anyone can, Nick can,

And whilst I was never the man,

Whilst I was struggling inside,

Fighting to stay on the light side,

Everyone knew I was always down to ride,

Lifes a journey and you could always rely on me,

But theres only so far a man can travel,

Theres only so far you can go before you reach the horizon,

And when you're clinging to a cliff there's only so long you can hold on,

Before you feel your grip loosen and you start to fall,

Now I always tell you all to keep it real,

And yes I know I say in time you'll heal,

I told a friend likewise just yesterday,

But this is me keeping it real,

You never know when you're speeding what's around the corner,

And you never know when today will be the day,

When you'll face the coroner,

And I'm not saying I'd take a life to end it all,

But when you feel like you're on the downfall,

And you can't see a brighter way,

And theres nothing left for anyone to say,

Well.. what are you to do as you're left drifting far from shore,

Except pray for a better day.
