Setting Sail !!

I write poetry upon and poetry,

Just to share with my friends and family,

They colluded and voted,

Saying I cannot keep my poetry to myself, friends and family,

So I pondered and concluded,

I have no right to keep my poetry from anybody,

And then God confirmed,

My poems are a gift given for everybody.

So I set sail on my journey,

Heading out across a sea of poetry,

On the good ship Christ, strong and sturdy,

With a crew steadfast and loyal,

And a log book my first mate gave me,

Ready to record it all.

Each tale and story,

Whether short or tall, big or small,

A potential myth or legend in the making,

Whether about a love So deep it's unbreakable,

Or a story so sad, it'll have your heart breaking,

A God so mighty he has the earth quaking,

Or betrayal so cruel, it couldn't be more painful.

Each story and tale told,

Is a lesson for us all to learn,

Whether a story new or a tale old,

A hidden meaning around every turn.
